Meet Lauren Danger
Contemporary Australian Artist

Lauren is an Australian contemporary artist with a passion for colour. Her acrylic paintings are inspired by the Great Ocean Road, and she’s created unique expressions of well-loved locations like Pt. Addis, Bells Beach, and the 12 Apostles.

Most of her clients are women who have a connection with the area and want to fill their homes with meaningful pieces. Many have a strong connection to the land, whether it be a family that has lived here over generations or frequent the area on holidays. Or it represents a significant milestone in their life such as a proposal or a wedding. They’re looking for artwork that is unique and not mass-produced.

In an age of assembly production and mass consumerism, it’s easy to lose appreciation for the process and the human behind it all. It’s why I love photographing artists and capturing their technique and craft. It shows people a fraction of the work that goes into their creations and brings the talent front and centre!

For our photoshoot, Lauren wanted to capture images of herself in the environment that inspired the artworks she’s currently releasing, which led to Point Addis Beach. You can view her newest collection here.
