New Years at Hood Canal-2016 -
-This Earth is our miracle to witness.-
A long weekend in Hood Canal felt like hitting the reset button. We celebrated the transition of 2015 to 2016 with home cooked food and Prosecco, (for the record I didn't make it to midnight for the second year in a row) and focused our energy on action plans and vision boards for the new year. The blend of active and passive exertion was restorative and contemplative. With the opportunity to drop into the rhythm of nature, I was reminded that life is a series of changes, and that truth brought a serene peace of mind. Peace, that deep sense of internal balance, can be cultivated and tactile with practice, but it sure is a lot easier when you leave the noise of society and tune into the natural world.
“Return to the world means return to the real world. Return to the world of the body, the senses, the world of Nature." - Christina Baldwin
However you spent your New Years, I hope it was surrounded by support and love, uplifting spirits, and gratitude for even just one more day. How did you all ring in Jan 1st, 2016?
